Live at The Sinclair, 9/20/2014

about

I played this set in Cambridge, MA, opening for Simian Mobile Disco. After 4 years of live sets and DJ gigs I realized that the main thing affecting how well I played was my mindset--so for this gig I focused on feeling comfortable and relaxed. I wrote quick jams in the week leading up to the gig, often just in 30 minutes or so before going to work, and imagined myself on stage but feeling calm and un-rushed.

I brought most of my studio to the venue, including from what I can remember:
TR-707
Alpha Juno 1
Volca Beats + Boss CS-3 compressor pedal
circuit bent TR-505
Yamaha guitar multifx (Magicstomp or DG-Stomp)
Alesis Nanoverb 2 (probably)
Mackie CR1604 or possibly 1402VLZ
gigantic Peavey PA mixer with spring reverb
laptop running Ableton with audio and midi clips
Bozure ISO-201 desktop isolator

Unfortunately there are no pictures of this! Also notable, there was a crazy moment where one of the stage monitors fell next to the Peavey mixer and the spring reverb went BOOM which you'll very much hear in the recording. The set was well-received at the gig, hope you like it too :)
