Ali Berger returns with the spiritual successor to 2020's hit EP The Stew: it's Attack of the Wrong Combo!!

On the title track, spacious synth melodies, FX squiggles and touching clav riffs meet a tuff bassline and hard-working polymetric percussion for an emotional dancefloor journey. The Mono Mix rides the groove without the song structure while the Drum Mix strips it down even further for a perfect DJ tool.

On what might be the B side, Croissant Dub (Flaky Mix) takes center stage for a trip to a processed drum paradise, peeling off layer after layer of reverb and pitchshifting delay over the relentless funk of a deep bassline. The House Xtra version, rediscovered while compiling this release, brings the same vibe to 126bpm with a thumping 808 kick. The Stew (Organ/FX) rounds out the EP--a cheeky export from the original project with everything muted except the organ and FX overdubs. Did you click the download button yet?
